✧ When “Whoever does an evil deed will be recompensed for it” was revealed, it weighed heavily on the Muslims and affected them as much as Allah willed. They complained about it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them: “Aim for what is right and be steadfast, for every affliction that befalls a Muslim is an expiation, even a stumble he stumbles or a thorn that pricks him.”
