حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أُرْسِلَ عَلَى أَيُّوبَ رِجْلٌ مِنْ جَرَادٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَجَعَلَ يَقْبِضُهَا فِي ثَوْبِهِ، فَقِيلَ: يَا أَيُّوبُ، أَلَمْ يَكْفِكَ مَا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ؟ قَالَ: أَيْ رَبِّ، وَمَنْ يَسْتَغْنِي عَنْ فَضْلِكَ؟

✧ A swarm of locusts of gold was sent upon Ayyub, and he began to gather them in his garment. It was said: O Ayyub, is what We have given you not enough for you? He said: O Lord, who can dispense with Your bounty?
