حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ

تَفْضُلُ الصَّلَاةُ فِي الْجَمِيعِ عَلَى صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ وَحْدَهُ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ. وَتَجْتَمِعُ مَلَائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: اقْرَؤُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا

Translation

✧ Prayer in congregation exceeds the prayer of a man alone by twenty-five degrees. The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the dawn prayer. Then Abu Hurayrah said: “Recite if you wish: ‘And the recitation of dawn, indeed the recitation of dawn is witnessed’ (Q 17:78).”
