حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

الْبِكْرُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ، وَالثَّيِّبُ تُشَاوَرُ. قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ الْبِكْرَ تَسْتَحِي، قَالَ: سُكُوتُهَا رِضَاهَا

Translation

✧ The virgin is asked for her consent, and the previously married woman is consulted. It was said: O Messenger of God, the virgin is shy. He said: Her silence is her consent.
