حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُهْدِيَتْ لَهُ حُلَّةٌ سِيَرَاءُ، فَأَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ، فَرُحْتُ بِهَا، فَعَرَفْتُ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْغَضَبَ، قَالَ: فَقَسَمْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي

✧ A striped silk suit was gifted to the Prophet ﷺ, so he sent it to me. I went out wearing it, and I recognized anger in the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: So I divided it among my women.
