✧ When Makkah was conquered for the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: 'Hold back your weapons except for Khuza'ah against Banu Bakr.' He gave them permission until they prayed the afternoon prayer, then he said: 'Hold back your weapons.' The next day, a man from Khuza'ah met a man from Banu Bakr at al-Muzdalifah and killed him. That reached the Messenger of God ﷺ, so he stood up to give a sermon and said: 'The most hostile of people against God is one who transgresses in the sanctuary, one who kills someone other than his killer, and one who kills for the grudges of the pre-Islamic era.' A man said: 'O Messenger of God, my son so-and-so, I committed adultery with his mother in the pre-Islamic era.' He said: 'There is no claim of illegitimate child in Islam. The affair of the pre-Islamic era is gone. The child belongs to the bed, and for the adulterer is the stone.' It was said: 'O Messenger of God, what is the stone?' He said: 'The rock.' And for the fingers: ten, ten; and for the clarifying wounds: five, five. And there is no prayer after dawn until the sun rises, and no prayer after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets. And a woman is not married to her paternal aunt, nor to her maternal aunt, and a woman's gift is not valid except with her husband's permission. And fulfill the oaths of the pre-Islamic era, for Islam only increased them in firmness, and do not initiate new oaths in Islam.
