حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

إِنَّ امْرَأَتَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ أَتَتَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، وَعَلَيْهِمَا سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَتُحِبَّانِ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَكُمَا اللهُ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ نَارٍ ؟ قَالَتَا: لَا وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ. قَالَ: فَأَدِّيَا حَقَّ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمَا فِي هَذَا

Translation

✧ Two women from the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing two bracelets of gold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Would you like Allah to bracelet you with two bracelets of fire?" They said: "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Then pay the due of Allah upon you in this."
