حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ أَظُنُّهُقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ الصَّلَاحُ بَعْدَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ ؟ قَالَ: يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، أَلَسْتَ تَمْرَضُ ؟ أَلَسْتَ تَحْزَنُ ؟ أَلَسْتَ تُصِيبُكَ اللَّأْوَاءُ ؟ أَلَسْتَ... ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى. قَالَ: فَإِنَّ ذَاكَ بِذَاكَ

Translation

✧ O Messenger of Allah, how can there be well-being after this verse? He said: May Allah have mercy on you, O Abu Bakr. Do you not fall ill? Do you not grieve? Do you not suffer hardship? Do you not...? He said: Yes. He said: That is for that.
