حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْفَرَّاءُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍعَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ، وَمَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ مَوْلُودٌ، فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ؛ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ، وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the aqiqah. He said: I do not like disobedience. Whoever has a child born and wishes to sacrifice on his behalf, let him do so: for a boy, two sheep of equal age, and for a girl, one sheep.
