✧ O Abdullah b. Amr, you fast for a lifetime. If you fast for a lifetime and stand in prayer at night, the eye will sink and the soul will weary. No one who fasts forever fasts. Fast three days of the month, it is the fast of the entire lifetime. He said: I said: I can do it. He said: Fast the fast of Dawud, for he used to fast one day and break the fast one day, and he would not flee when he met the enemy.
