✧ I set out with the Prophet ﷺ until we came to the Ka'bah. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'Sit,' and he climbed onto my shoulders. I tried to rise with him, but he sensed weakness in me, so he came down and sat for me, and the Prophet of God ﷺ said: 'Climb onto my shoulders.' He said: So I climbed onto his shoulders. He said: Then he lifted me up. He said: It seemed to me that if I wished I could touch the horizon of the sky, until I climbed onto the House, on which there was an idol of brass or copper. I began to work it from its right, its left, in front of it, and behind it, until I had a firm grip on it. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'Throw it down.' So I threw it down, and it shattered as glass shatters. Then I descended, and the Messenger of God ﷺ and I went off racing until we hid among the houses, fearing that someone might meet us.
