حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ
صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَوَاحِدَةً إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ
Translation

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "The night prayer is to be performed two by two, and when you fear the dawn, then perform one rak'ah. Indeed, Allah, the Most High, loves the odd number."
