The Messenger of God ﷺ led them in one rak'ah and two prostrations, prostration like half of the morning prayer. Then they left and faced the enemy. The other group came and lined up with the Prophet ﷺ, and he did the same. Then the Prophet ﷺ said the salam, and each man of the two groups stood and prayed one rak'ah and two prostrations for himself.
