حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا يَقُولُ إِنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ

لَا يُقِمْ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ يَخْلُفُهُ فِيهِ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا لَهُ ( يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ ): فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ ؟ قَالَ: فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَغَيْرِهِ

Translation

✧ None of you should make his brother get up from his seat and then sit in his place. I said to him—meaning Ibn Jurayj—on Friday? He said: On Friday and other days.
