حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ الْعُمَرِيَّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ

كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَرْمِي جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، وَكَانَ لَا يَأْتِي سَائِرَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا مَاشِيًا ذَاهِبًا وَرَاجِعًا، وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ لَا يَأْتِيهَا إِلَّا مَاشِيًا ذَاهِبًا وَرَاجِعًا

Translation

✧ Ibn 'Umar used to throw the pebbles at Jamrat al-'Aqabah from his mount on the Day of Sacrifice, and he would not come to the rest of the jamarat after that except walking, going and returning. He claimed that the Prophet ﷺ would not come to them except walking, going and returning.
