✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ set out for ʿumrah, but the disbelievers of Quraysh came between him and the House, so he slaughtered his sacrificial animal and shaved his head at al-Ḥudaybiyyah. He made a treaty with them that they would perform ʿumrah the following year, that he would not carry weapons against them (and Surayj said: and would not carry weapons except swords), and that he would not stay there except as long as they wished. He performed ʿumrah the following year and entered it as he had agreed with them. When he had stayed three [days], they ordered him to leave, and he left.
