Translation

✧ He was asked about nabidh made in earthen jars and said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it.” He said: I went to Ibn Abbas and said to him: “I asked Abu Abd al-Rahman about nabidh made in earthen jars, and he said: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it.’” He said: “Abu Abd al-Rahman spoke the truth.” He said: I said: “What is the jar?” He said: “Anything made of clay.”
