حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ وَكَانَ وَهْبٌ أَدْرَكَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِ ابْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى رَاعِيَ غَنَمٍ فِي مَكَانٍ قَبِيحٍ وَقَدْ رَأَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَكَانًا أَمْثَلَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: وَيْحَكَ يَا رَاعِي حَوِّلْهَا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: كُلُّ رَاعٍ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ.

✧ Ibn Umar saw a shepherd of sheep in an unpleasant place, and Ibn Umar had seen a better place than it. Ibn Umar said, 'Woe to you, O shepherd, move them, for I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Every shepherd is responsible for his flock.''
