قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
اسْتَقْبَلَ فُرْضَتَيِ الْجَبَلِ الطَّوِيلِ الَّذِي قِبَلَ الْكَعْبَةِ، فَجَعَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ الَّذِي بُنِيَ يَمِينًا، وَالْمَسْجِدُ بِطَرَفِ الْأَكَمَةِ وَمُصَلَّى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَسْفَلُ مِنْهُ عَلَى الْأَكَمَةِ السَّوْدَاءِ، يَدَعُ مِنَ الْأَكَمَةِ عَشْرَ أَذْرُعٍ أَوْ نَحْوَهَا، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْفُرْضَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ الطَّوِيلِ الَّذِي بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَةِ
Translation

✧ He faced the two openings of the long mountain that is toward the Kaʿbah, placing the mosque that was built on his right, while the mosque is at the edge of the hill. The praying place of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is below it on the black hill; he leaves about ten cubits or so from the hill, then prays facing the two openings of the long mountain that lies between him and the Kaʿbah.
