✧ I went out with Ibn Umar from his house, and we passed by some young men of Quraysh who had set up a bird as a target and were shooting at it, and they had agreed to give every miss of their arrows to the owner of the bird. He said: When they saw Ibn Umar, they dispersed. Ibn Umar said: 'Who did this? May God curse whoever did this. The Messenger of God ﷺ cursed whoever takes anything with a soul as a target.'
