حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ
طَلَّقَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لِيُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ لِيُطَلِّقْهَا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: احْتَسَبَ بِهَا ؟ قَالَ: فَمَهْ

✧ Ibn ʿUmar divorced his wife while she was menstruating. ʿUmar mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “He should take her back until she becomes pure, then he may divorce her.” He said: I said, “Does that count as a divorce?” He said: “And what of it?”
