حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّاسِ فَحَتَّهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ: إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ، فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أَحَدٌ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw spittle in the qiblah of the mosque while he was praying before the people, and he scraped it off, then said when he finished the prayer: 'Indeed, when one of you is in prayer, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is before his face, so let none of you spit before his face in prayer.'
