حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ النَّجْرَانِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِسَكْرَانَ فَضَرَبَهُ الْحَدَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ: مَا شَرَابُكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: زَبِيبٌ وَتَمْرٌ، فَقَالَ: لَا تَخْلِطْهُمَا، يَكْفِي كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ.

✧ A drunkard was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he inflicted the prescribed punishment on him. Then he said: 'What is your drink?' He said: 'Raisins and dates.' He said: 'Do not mix them; each one of them suffices from the other.'
