حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِطَعَامٍ وَقَدْ حَسَّنَهُ صَاحِبُهُ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِيهِ، فَإِذَا طَعَامٌ رَدِيءٌ فَقَالَ: بِعْ هَذَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ، وَهَذَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ؛ فَمَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا.

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by some food whose owner had made it look good. He put his hand into it and found that it was bad. He said: Sell this on its own and this on its own; whoever deceives us is not of us.
