قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَشُقَّهُمَا أَوْ لِيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ.

Translation

✧ Whoever does not find sandals, let him wear leather socks and cut them, or trim them, so that they are below the ankles.
