machine translationYaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Anṣārī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from al-Qāsim, from Ibn ʿUmar; this was said by al-Ḥumaydī and ʿAbd al-Aʿlā from Ibn ʿUyaynah. Ibrāhīm b. Bashshār said, from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from al-Qāsim; and sometimes Sufyān said, from Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā b. Ḥabbān, from Ibn ʿUmar. Ḥammād b. Zayd said, from Yaḥyā, from Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā b. Ḥabbān, from Ibn ʿUmar. Mālik transmitted it as a mursal report, saying, from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from Ibn ʿUmar. The statement of Ḥammād is the more likely.
