حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ الْبَجَلِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
مَنِ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا غَيْرَ كَلْبِ زَرْعٍ أَوْ ضَرْعٍ أَوْ صَيْدٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ. " فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: إِنْ كَانَ فِي دَارٍ وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ قَالَ: هُوَ عَلَى رَبِّ الدَّارِ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُهَا.

✧ Whoever keeps a dog other than a dog for farming, herding, or hunting, his deeds are reduced each day by a qīrāṭ.’ I said to Ibn ʿUmar, ‘What if it is in a house and I dislike it?’ He said, ‘It is upon the owner of the house who possesses it.’
