حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Sufyān
  2. ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār
  3. Ibn ʿUmar
  4. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ When you are three, two should not converse privately excluding the third.
