✧ He came seeking permission to enter upon Uthman b. Affan, and he gave him permission while he had his staff in his hand. Uthman said: O Ka'b, Abd al-Rahman has died and left wealth; what do you think about it? He said: If he fulfilled Allah's right in it, then there is no harm upon him. Abu Dharr raised his staff and struck Ka'b, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: I would not love to have this mountain as gold and spend it, and have it accepted from me, while I leave behind six uqiyyahs. I adjure you by Allah, O Uthman, did you hear it? Three times. He said: Yes.
