حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَوَجَدَهَا تُبَاعُ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ شِرَائِهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَا تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ.

✧ Umar b. al-Khattab gave a horse in charity for the sake of Allah, then he found it being sold. He asked the Prophet ﷺ about buying it, and the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not take back your charity."
