✧ I saw a man asking Al-Aswad ibn Yazid while he was teaching the Quran in the mosque. He said, "How do you read this letter {فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ} [Al-Qamar 15], is it adal (أَذَالٌ) or dal (دَالٌ)?" He replied, "No, it is dal (دَالٌ)." Then he said, "I heard Abdullah ibn Mas'ud saying that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting it as 'muddakirin' (مُدَّكِرٍ) [Al-Qamar 15] with a dal (دَالًا)."
