✧ I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ in a cultivated field in Madinah when he passed by a group of Jews. Some of them said to others: Ask him about the Spirit. Some said: Do not ask him. Then they said: O Muhammad, what is the Spirit? He said: He stood leaning on a palm branch (and I was behind him, thinking that revelation was coming to him) and said: 'They ask you about the Spirit. Say: The Spirit is from the command of my Lord, and you have not been given of knowledge except a little.' He said: Some of them said: We said not to ask him.
