✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed a prayer—I do not know whether he added or omitted (Ibrahim, the one who said: 'Alqama did not know; he said: he added or omitted; or 'Abdullah). Then he turned to face us, and we told him what he had done. He then bent his leg, faced the Qiblah, and made two prostrations. Then he turned his face toward us and said: If something had occurred in the prayer, I would have informed you of it. But I am only a human being; I forget just as you forget. So if I forget, remind me. And whoever of you has doubt in his prayer, let him aim for what is closest to correctness, complete it on that basis, then say the salam and make two prostrations.
