✧ I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicate against the Quraysh except on one day. He was praying, and a group of Quraysh were sitting, and the afterbirth of a slaughtered camel was near him. They said: 'Who will take this afterbirth and throw it on his back?' He said: Uqbah b. Abi Muayt said: 'I will.' So he took it and threw it on his back. He remained prostrating until Fatimah, may the blessings of Allah be upon her, came and removed it from his back. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Allah, deal with the elite of Quraysh; O Allah, deal with Utbah b. Rabiah; O Allah, deal with Shaybah b. Rabiah; O Allah, deal with Abu Jahl b. Hisham; O Allah, deal with Uqbah b. Abi Muayt; O Allah, deal with Ubayy b. Khalaf, or Umayyah b. Khalaf.' He said: Abdullah said: I saw them all killed on the day of Badr, then dragged to the well, except Ubayy or Umayyah, for he was a large man and fell apart.
