حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوَابِ حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ

كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ مِنْ هَمْزِهِ، وَنَفْثِهِ، وَنَفْخِهِ

Translation

  5. ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd
  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ The passage translates to: "It is reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to seek refuge from the devil, from his whispers, his insinuations, and his arrogance. It is said that his whispers cause madness, his insinuations bring about poetry, and his arrogance leads to pride."
