حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلَام عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ يَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَيُفْطِرُ، وَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يَدَعُهُمَا يَقُولُ: لَا يَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِمَا يَعْنِي: الْفَرِيضَةَ.

✧ He used to fast while traveling and break his fast, and he would pray two rakʿahs and not abandon them, saying: 'He does not add to them,' meaning the obligatory prayer.
