Musnad Ahmad 3785

Show the chain

✧ A man had never done any good deed except tawhid. When death came to him, he said to his family: When I die, take me and burn me until I become ashes, then grind me, then scatter me in the sea on a windy day. He said: They did that to him. He said: Then he was in Allah's grasp. He said: Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said to him: What made you do what you did? He said: Fear of You. He said: Then Allah forgave him.
