✧ Horses are of three kinds: a horse for the Most Merciful, a horse for man, and a horse for Satan. The horse of the Most Merciful is the one that is tethered in the path of Allah, so its fodder, its dung, and its urine — and he mentioned what Allah willed — and as for the horse of Satan, it is the one upon which gambling or wagering is done. And as for the horse of man, it is the horse a man ties up seeking its belly (offspring), for it is a shield against poverty.
