حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ بِخَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ، فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ قَدْ هَلَكَ، وَإِنْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَمِمَّا مَضَى أَمْ مِمَّا بَقِيَ؟ قَالَ: مِمَّا بَقِيَ.

Translation

  7. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ The mill of Islam will turn for thirty-five, or thirty-six, or thirty-seven. If they perish, then it is the way of those who have perished. But if their religion endures for them, it will endure for seventy years. He said: I said: 'From what has passed or from what remains?' He said: 'From what remains.'
