✧ Let not the call of Bilāl prevent any of you from his pre-dawn meal, for he only calls out—or he said: gives the call—so that your standing one may return and your sleeping one may awaken. It is not that he says it like this, but rather until he says it like this.” Ibn Abī ʿAdī—Abū ʿAmr—pressed his fingers together and pointed them downward, and he opened the space between his two index fingers, meaning dawn.
