حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، وَلَأُنَازَعَنَّ أَقْوَامًا، ثُمَّ لَأُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيَقُولُ: إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ.
Translation

✧ I am your predecessor at the Basin, and I will surely contend with some peoples, but then I will be overcome concerning them, and I will say: 'O Lord, my companions!' He will say: 'You do not know what they innovated after you.'
