✧ We were waiting for Abdullah in the mosque, expecting him to come out to us. Yazid b. Mu'awiyah—meaning al-Nakha'i—came to us and said: “Shall I go and see? If he is in the house, perhaps I can bring him out to you.” He came to us, stood before us, and said: “Your place is mentioned to me, but I do not come to you out of dislike that I might weary you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to look after us with admonition on certain days, out of dislike of boredom for us.”
