حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا رَأَى الصُّوَرَ فِي الْبَيْتِ - يَعْنِي: الْكَعْبَةَ - لَمْ يَدْخُلْ، وَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَمُحِيَتْ، وَرَأَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ بِأَيْدِيهِمَا الْأَزْلَامُ، فَقَالَ: قَاتَلَهُمُ اللهُ، وَاللهِ مَا اسْتَقْسَمَا بِالْأَزْلَامِ قَطُّ
Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ saw the images in the House—meaning the Kaaba—he did not enter, and he ordered that they be erased. He saw Ibrahim and Ismail (peace be upon them) with divining arrows in their hands, and he said: 'May Allah fight them! By Allah, they never sought omens by divining arrows at all.'
