machine translationIbn Lahīʿah and Rishdīn b. Saʿd narrated it from al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Sharḥabīl, from Zayd b. Aslam, from his father, from ʿUmar. ʿAbdullāh b. Sinān contradicted him and narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ. Both are mistaken (wahm). The correct version is from Zayd b. Aslam, from ʿAṭāʾ b. Yasār, from Ibn ʿAbbās; this is how the memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam.
