حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا خَرَّ عَنْ بَعِيرِهِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَوَقَصَهُ - أَوْ أَقْصَعَهُ، شَكَّ أَيُّوبُ - فَسَأَلُوا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبِهِ، وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ، وَلَا تُقَرِّبُوهُ طِيبًا، فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَبْعَثُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُحْرِمًا

Translation

✧ A man fell from his camel while in iḥrām, and it broke his neck — or crushed it, Ayyūb was uncertain — so they asked the Prophet ﷺ. He said: Wash him with water and lote-tree leaves, shroud him in his garment, do not cover his head, and do not bring perfume near him, for God will raise him on the Day of Resurrection in iḥrām.
