✧ The Quraysh came to a priestess and said to her: Tell us which of us most closely resembles the man of this station [Ibrāhīm’s station]? She said: If you drag a cloak over this smooth ground and then walk upon it, I will inform you. So they dragged it, and then the people walked upon it. She saw the footprint of Muḥammad ﷺ and said: This one is the closest among you in resemblance to him. They remained after that for twenty years, or nearly twenty years, or as long as God willed, and then he ﷺ was sent.
