حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرِيُّ وَأَسْوَدُ الْمَعْنَى قَالا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
ابْتَاعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ عِيرٍ أَقْبَلَتْ، فَرَبِحَ أَوَاقِيَّ، فَقَسَّمَهَا بَيْنَ أَرَامِلِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لَا أَبْتَاعُ بَيْعًا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي ثَمَنُهُ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ bought from a caravan that arrived, and he profited some uqiyyas, and he distributed them among the widows of Abd al-Muttalib. Then he said: I will not buy a sale for which I do not have its price.
