حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ عَلَيَّ بَدَنَةً، وَأَنَا مُوسِرٌ بِهَا، وَلَا أَجِدُهَا فَأَشْتَرِيَهَا ؟ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَ سَبْعَ شِيَاهٍ، فَيَذْبَحَهُنَّ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Ibn ʿAbbās

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'I owe a sacrificial camel, and I am able to afford it, but I cannot find one to buy.' The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to buy seven sheep and slaughter them.
