حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ يَعْنِى ابْنَ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ مَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ

لَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ سِرًّا فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُ لَيُدْرِكُ الْفَارِسَ فَيُدَعْثِرُهُ. قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا يَعْنِي ؟ قَالَ: الْغِيلَةَ، يَأْتِي الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ تُرْضِعُ.

✧ Do not kill your children secretly, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, it overtakes the horseman and throws him down. He said: I said, 'What does he mean?' He said, 'Coitus interruptus—when a man has intercourse with his wife while she is nursing.'
