حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ السَّرَّاجُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شَهْرًا يَقُولُ حَدَّثَتْنِي أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ يَزِيدَ
أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَالرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ قُعُودٌ عِنْدَهُ. فَقَالَ: لَعَلَّ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ مَا يَفْعَلُ بِأَهْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّ امْرَأَةً تُخْبِرُ بِمَا فَعَلَتْ مَعَ زَوْجِهَا ! فَأَرَمَّ الْقَوْمُ فَقُلْتُ: إِي وَاللهِ، يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهُنَّ لَيَقُلْنَ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَفْعَلُونَ قَالَ: فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ذَلِكَ مَثَلُ شَيْطَانٍ لَقِيَ شَيْطَانَةً فِي طَرِيقٍ فَغَشِيَهَا وَالنَّاسُ يَنْظُرُونَ
Translation

✧ She was with the Messenger of God ﷺ, with men and women sitting around him. He said: 'Perhaps a man will say what he does with his wife, and perhaps a woman will tell what she did with her husband!' The people fell silent. I said, 'Yes, by God, O Messenger of God, they do say such things and they do such things.' He said, 'Do not do so, for the likeness of that is the likeness of a male devil who met a female devil on the road and had intercourse with her while the people looked on.'
